KRMM believes in the all-round development of the child. Besides a well-planned academic curriculum supported by an adequate number of tests and suitable learning activities, the school offers to train the children in many co-curricular and extra curricular activities.

Young Indians (Yi) is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Indian's premier business association, formed in the year 2002, with an objective of creating a platform for young Indians to realize the dream of a developed nation.

KRMM has been an active Yi Student Net since 2008. The school was awarded "The best Yi Net in Chennai" for the year 2009-2010.

AFS India is a non-profit organization which organizes a number of exchange programs to promote intercultural understanding and learning across national boundaries. KRMM has been associated with AFS since 2008 and has successfully hosted four exchanges students till date.

Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact Club of Kumararani Meena Muthiah Mat Hr Sec School is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chennai Towers, which is part of Rotary International Dist 3230. Three years into its inception, the school has associated itself with the Rotary Club of Chennai Towers in order to spread awareness of society and the larger cause amongst school children.

The Aseema Trust , Chennai was founded to bridge arts and education, to link rural and urban schools through folk performing arts, to use performing arts as tools of empowerment, teaching and to bring the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi in respect for diversity and dignity of labour projects through spinning on Charkha. KRMM in collaboration with The Aseema Trust, Chennai, teaches students how to Spin-a-Yarn the gandhian way.

Design for Change is a global movement designed to give young people an opportunity to express their own ideas for a better world and put them into action. The students of KRMM have designed a solution for reducing food wastage within the school campus and currently the solution is being pilot tested.

KRMM has recently started a weekend course on Calligraphy for students and teachers. This art is being taught by a native Korean in association with the InKo Center, Chennai. InKo aims to promote inter-cultural dialogue by facilitating a consistent programme that draws on the rich traditions of both India and Korea.

In order to bring out the latent talents in the child, the school offers specialization in a range of activities like Drums, Art & Craft, Music & Dance, Keyboard, Volleyball, Chess, Karate and Table Tennis. Weekly one period is allotted for Yoga for all classes. To improve the concentration of the students, deep breathing exercises are done daily in the morning assembly.

Annual Health Check up is an essential feature of the academic year. Medical professionals visit the school and examine the students. They are given a report on their health with special emphasis on oral hygiene.

A cure for AIDS is still a dream. Therefore AIDS Awareness Programme has become a must. The film 'A Closer Walk' on this issue was screened to make our students aware.

The staff and students are grouped in 4 houses Emerald, Pearl, Ruby and Sapphire. The houses take part in various sports and cultural activities. This helps to build a spirit of competition. The morning assembly activities are taken up by the houses in turn. Interesting and though provoking speeches are delivered. A physical fitness exercise is done by students under the watchful eyes of the Principal and Staff.

Most of the seeds we had nurtured in the course of these 10 years have grown to saplings. Hopethey would become strong oaks and be pillars of pride to our nation.
